To the Heights with Youth SVP

Living Mission, Jubilee and Beyond

This is an image of the To the Heights logo

Inspired by Pope Francis’s call for a Church that reaches out in mission, and Pope Leo XIV’s reminder that "love is the basis of every mission", this year-long SVP theme encourages children and young people, and the wider community, to live out their faith through love in action.

Rooted in the example of the newly canonised Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati- a young Vincentian known for his love of the poor and his motto Verso l’Alto ("To the Heights")- this theme invites us to strive for growth: spiritually, socially, and through service.

Year-round Fundraising Challenge

The “To the Heights” challenge invites you to pick a mountain and take it on by distance, by time, or by fundraising—whether that’s walking, swimming, serving others, or learning a new skill. Inspired by Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati, each climb is a way to grow higher in faith while helping SVP tackle poverty in all its forms.
