Lift People Out of Loneliness

This Lent, the St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP) continues our "To the Heights" journey as we move beyond the Jubilee year. Inspired by Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati, we are encouraging children, young people, and adults to keep climbing towards a life of deeper faith, friendship, and service.

Our Lenten theme centres on Loneliness and Befriending, which lies at the heart of the SVP's mission. Across all ages, we are inviting everyone to connect more deeply with others by stepping away from everyday distractions and taking time for meaningful, attentive conversations.

Our resources support prayer, fasting and almsgiving, helping communities to slow down, notice those around them, and respond with Christ-like care.

This Lent, let’s climb “to the heights” together by seeing, listening, and loving more fully.
