Inspired by Pope Leo XIV’s message for the 10th World Day of the Poor, our SVP Mini Vinnies resource invites children to explore the theme “The Lord is a refuge of the poor” and reflect on how they can share God’s love, hope and compassion with others.

The resource includes a presentation suitable for assemblies, Mini Vinnies meetings and parish groups. Through prayer and reflection, children will explore the Catholic Social Teaching principle of the Preferential Option for the Poor and discover how the work of the SVP puts this into action.
