YVDO Resources

Welcome YVDOs,

This space is just for you to have easy access to all of the resources to use in supporting your Young Vincentians groups. As this landing page is specifically for you as YVDOs, rather than your VCs, we advise you to copy individual URL links to share with them from this page as and when you need to share something. This page is a live page, so the Youth Team will frequently update it with new resources. We'll always let you know when there's something new to share. Do let us know what else you would like to see on this page that will help you in your role as YVDO.

What's the focus at the moment?

Invite our young Vincentians to fundraise for the SVP

The SVP Fundraising Team have produced a wonderful Fundraising Pack, ideal for schools and parishes. We'd love all our young Vincentians to fundraise for the SVP at least once a year. We know our children and young people have some amazing ideas, from bake sales to dance-a-thons, coin trails to raffles, there are so many opportunities to raise funds for the work of the SVP. Why not promote our SVP Sponsored Sleep with your groups? We have an array of resources to support this, and it's a scalable event that would work at home, at school, or within a parish.

Everything a school or parish needs for a successful commissioning ceremony. After the school have requested a commissioning, it's best to send them the toolkit in advance to access all the resources that can prep them for the day. You can explain that you will take the lead at the ceremony, but there is some preparation for the children to do beforehand, all of which is explained in the Leader's guide.

Mini Vinnies' Application Forms

After your introductory assembly, point the VC in the direction of our application resources. You might like to have these printed to take in with you, or simply share the link with the school in a follow up email.
